I came across this video on Japanator this morning and found it to be very interesting. Not so much because of the content, but because the young man was such a good interviewee. I've been in front of the camera a few times and it can be nerve wracking, but he really did a great job. He did so many things right- he was very specific with his information, defined terms for viewers (although a few acronyms were tossed around without explanations) and was a gracious winner for someone his age.
But the coolest thing is that he taught his dad how to play Pokemon and they travel together, enjoying the competitions and meeting people from all over the world. Dad is giving his son a real gift by doing that. And they have the bonus of maintaining a personal relationship that many teenagers don't have with their parents.
Of course, the funniest part was that despite all that father-son love, the son still grimaced when dad kissed him on the cheek. :)
