'San' Destroyed the World

I spent a couple of days teaching the kids how to count in Japanese. It was a lot of fun and they did very well. My 4 year-old, however, became totally fixated on the number three: san. For the next two weeks, every time I asked him a question- about anything- his response was "SAN!!!"

At the dinner table, he would suddenly shout, "SAN!!"

In the bathtub, "SAN!!"

While playing video games, "SAN!!"

One day, he told me that 'san' destroyed the world. And so while driving the street, I heard, "SAN destroyed the world!"

While studying for an exam- "SAN destroyed the world!"

First thing in the morning- "SAN destroyed the world!"

So of course, the others had to join in periodically. Yesterday the little monkey announced, "I'm bored with 'san'," and that was the end of that.
